Frequently asked questions
How often should I use it?
Once a week, or as needed when buildup is noticeable. It's a clarifying treatment, not a daily shampoo. Using it more than weekly can over-strip the hair's natural oils. Use your regular Doers Shampoo for daily washes.
What does it do that regular shampoo doesn't?
It removes deep product residue, mineral buildup from hard water, and excess oil that normal shampoos leave behind. Cider vinegar restores scalp pH, and the result is hair that looks lighter, shinier, and bouncier from one wash.
Will it strip colour-treated hair?
It cleanses aggressively, so it's not recommended more than once every two weeks for coloured hair. If you do use it, follow up with our Conditioner to seal the hair cuticle. Test a small section first if you've recently been to the salon.
Can it help with dandruff or flakes?
Yes, for buildup-related flakes. Nettle and mallow extracts have natural anti-microbial and balancing properties. If your flaking is fungal or chronic, see a dermatologist. For the everyday scalp gunk kind, weekly use makes a visible difference.
How long does the bottle last?
A 300ml detox shampoo bottle lasts roughly 4 to 6 months at the recommended weekly frequency. You only need a 10p-sized amount per wash. The high concentration of active ingredients means a little goes a long way.
